wallYour contribution to The American Legion Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Foundation (CALVAR) helps assure that our injured and disabled troops are cared for long after they come home.  The contributions collected go directly to support The American Legion Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation Division (VA&R). 

CALVAR nor the VA&R receives government funding or any other subsidy.  The current funding is voluntarily donated by California American Legion Members, other Veterans , their family members and friends.  These donations are received by supporting several programs conducted by the Ways and Means Commission.  

purpleOne hundred percent of the funds raised goes directly to VA&R; there is no commingling of funds. In order to supplement this funding, CALVAR, which is a California Charitable Corporation and tax exempt 501 (c)(3) corporation, whose purpose is to seek and collect tax deductible donations that will be used exclusively to fund The Department of California, American Legion VA&R.  Again, one hundred percent of the money we collect will be restricted for use by VA&R offices providing direct services to Veterans and their families.
